Questions
Is my chat really private?
Yes. The file is read and counted inside your browser. Your messages are never uploaded to our servers, never sent to any AI, and we can't see them. Only names and scores are saved on your own device so your awards survive checkout.
How do I export a WhatsApp group?
- iPhone: open the group → tap the group name → scroll down → Export Chat → Without Media → Save to Files. Upload the .zip.
- Android: open the group → ⋮ → More → Export chat → Without media. Upload the .txt.
Does it work for chats with just two people?
It works best for groups of 3 or more. Two-person chats still get most awards, but some (like The Ghost) need a crowd.
What do I get for $4.99?
Every award your chat qualifies for (up to 19), each with a shareable image card. It's a one-time payment for that chat on that device, never a subscription.
What if it doesn't work?
Email us within 14 days and we'll fix it or refund you. See the terms.
Is this made by WhatsApp?
No. Group Chat Awards is an independent project and isn't affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.
